Classroom Management
Consequences of inappropriate behavior are as follows*
1. VERBAL REMINDER
2. BUDDY ROOM & CALL HOME
3. LUNCH /AFTER SCHOOL DETENTION & CALL HOME
4. OFFICE REFERRAL/REMOVED FROM CLASS & CALL HOME
5. BEHAVIOR PLAN WITH FURTHER CONSEQUENCES.
** Some behaviors may require more severe consequences and immediate escalation.
Assessment
Formative assessments such as practice exercises & quizzes= 20% of grade
Summative assessments such as art history exams, hands on art projects and final exams= 80% of the grade.
Grading

A = 3.51-4.0 A- = 3.00-3.5
B+ = 2.84-2.99 B = 2.67-2.83 B- = 2.50-2.56
C+ = 2.34-2.49 C = 2.17-2.33 C- = 2.00-2.16
D+ = 1.84-1.99 D = 1.67-1.83 D- = 1.50-1.66
F = 0.00-1.49
Retake Policy
If a student is dissatisfied with his or her performance on a assessment they have two weeks to resubmit the assignment. In order to retake the assessment they must have all the formative work in for that unit or must show that they have done required remedial work for the item retaken. Students will not be punished or scored lower as a result of retaking.
Failure Policy
Students who fail, do not receive a grade, or let expire more than 50% of the summative assessments will not receive a passing grade.

- Please in your seat when the bell rings.
- Work in your assigned seat.
- No hats, hoods, or electronic devices (unless otherwise specified).
- Adhere to dress code policies!
- Do not disrupt instruction or other students leaning opportunities. (SLANT)
- Have all needed materials for class with you when you come to class- No Locker Passes.
- Food & beverages are not allowed in the art room.
- Be Respectful and use appropriate language!
- Respect art supplies & property! Replacement or Detentions assigned for damaging supplies/ not doing your cleanup.
- Everyone helps with clean up. Do your part! This is a team effort.
- No lining up at the door- dismissed by table.
- Students will receive three passes for the trimester use them wisely.
- NO passes the 1st and last 10 min. of class.
- Tardy students will be assigned consequences following school wide plan.
Swearing Policy
- If I hear you using coarse language…I WILL SPEAK WITH YOU ABOUT YOUR LANGUAGE.
- If I hear you using coarse language a second time…I WILL SPEAK WITH YOUR PARENT(S) ABOUT YOUR LANGUAGE AND ASSIGN YOU A DETENTION.
- During some class activities or assignments you may be allowed to use your electronic device in class.
- If you are caught abusing the privilege with your device the privilege may be taken away along with your device at my discretion.
Class Productivity
- Students are expected to utilize class time efficiently.
- Projects and assignments are to be completed in class.
- Homework may become necessary based on student productivity in class or due to absence to work outside of class time.
- Students are encouraged to spend any quality time they have to complete their assignments and projects.
- After school make up times are available weekly on a sign-up basis.
